The 'Las Mujeres Ya No Lloran' World Tour

World music superstar Shakira heads out on her massive 'Las Mujeres Ya No Lloran' world tour this year. One of the few Latin music stars to also dominate the English language charts, Shakira, who hails from Colombia, is best known in North America for her breakout hit 'Whenever, wherever', and the inescapable jam 'Hips Don't Lie (feat. Wyclef Jean)', which remains one of the best-selling digital singles of all time. With her unmistakable vocals, which incorporate the odd yodel here and there, real songwriting chops and some very truthful hips, Shakira is a real all-rounder.

UH-MAZING!

Shakira sang most of her best hits with hardly any breaks at all for 2 hours straight with amazing dance moves and vocals. She brought our Wyclef Jean for "Hips Don't Lie" which was amazing. Too bad a lot if her recent features are currently on tour themselves also but tbh she was a show all on her own. She did it all on her own with no big props or any dancers and it was still again, Amazing! Congrats to her on a 20+ year career. ... Read more

Creative Production

She sang a great mix of new and old with some surprising remix of the latter. The production was a typical big venue vibe but with a minimal band. The crowd was a great mix of young and old very loyal fans, and was a blast to be apart of. We arrived early (6:30) to beat the crowds, which was perfect, but this had a serious drawback. Everyone else arrived late. We waited for over two hours for the concert to begin. Over... Two... Hours... Not a great way to start in LA. We enjoyed ourselves immensely, but wished the show started on time. She put on some great moves dancing and did seem to enjoy herself, but did seem to struggle with singing to her true potential while doing so. Its a trade-off "shrugg." Overall we had a good time seeing a favorite artist, and would go again. ... Read more
