Hannah Gadsby

Why see Hannah Gadsby?

Hannah Gadsby On Tour!

Emmy-Award winner Hannah Gadsby is a name you should probably know, or if you don't you will soon enough! Hannah Gadsby took the comedy world by storm with her Award-winning show entitled Nanette. A sold-out Edinburgh Fringe run and multiple Netflix specials later, Hannah Gadsby returns to the road for a North American tour following her fourth special with Netflix from 2024, the Gender Agenda, which united gender queer comedians from around the world.

Debuting at the 2017 Edinburgh Fringe Festival critics dubbed Gadsby's Nanette a game-changer, overturning the conventions of comedy and bringing a new style and voice into a somewhat overcrowded market. Openly talking about gender, equality, anger, homophobia and art Nanette was supposed to be Gadsby's final farewell to stand-up, luckily for us, it seems she has now overturned this statement (phew!).

A name that you're sure to be hearing more of in the future, don't miss your chance to see Hannah Gadsby live!

Every sentence was richly layered in jokes

after the half way point I was just stuck in a constant giggle fit for an hour straight as the jokes just layered upon themselves to the point where any side comment or remark she said was just another joke brought back from before, but now made funner from the context. Some advice: definitely go to the bathroom before the show, because you will laugh so hard you will have to pee even if you DID go to the bathroom beforehand. ... Read more

Hannah and The Uncomfortable Seat

Hannah makes you laugh, think, uncomfortable and love her. Bravo performance in Boston. But the seats at the Colonial Theater made me more uncomfortable than Hannah. Go see this one person extravaganza of thought provoking and brilliant commentary. ... Read more

Refreshingly direct

Having seen "Nannette," I did know what to expect -- and nevertheless found her opening "rundown of what to expect" as amusing and hilarious as what was to come (as we by that point were expecting)... Her mixture of monologue, comedy and occasional rant is funny, poignant, mind-poking and original. See her if you can; she'll make you think, even if you don't agree with every particular point she makes or example she cites. (After all, you probably won't be sitting in her audience if you;'re not an open-minded person.) Loved the show, hope it winds up on Netflix as well! ... Read more
