Slash was a MONSTER

Warm up band hit the stage right at 8pm and played 6 songs til 8:30. They were good--singer has presence--wouldn't be surprised if they have some degree of future success--Joyous Wolf. Slash and Myles came on at 8:50. Played 6 quick songs without break. After short break they were all relaxed and the vibe started getting hot. Until now Slash was keeping in background. Around song 10 Myles left the stage and the bassist sang 2 songs. I'm a huge fan of Myles but he just doesn't jive real well with Slash in terms of harmony. The bass player and Slash were in harmony and got a little punkish. Then Slash just went apeshit. A 15-20 minute solo was the greatest live performance solo I've ever seen. Sick--I couldn't even speak--what was there to say except "you are the king". BTW, Myles strapped on an axe for 2 rhythm guitars for the solo. After that the place was in freaking chaos. The last several songs had Slash go batty with solos each of 5 minutes or more. Show ended at 11:15. ... Read more
