Neil Diamond

Why see Neil Diamond?

50th Anniversary tour

One of the most successful pop singers in history, the great Neil Diamond has now been in the business for half a century, a fact he's celebrating with a huge 50th Anniversary Tour throughout 2017. A member of The Rock 'n' Roll Hall of Fame, and more than 125 million record sales under his belt, Neil's best known tracks include 'Sweet Caroline', 'Red Red Wine' and 'I'm a Believer' (originally performed by The Monkees).

The 1980s and 90s saw Diamond's sales decline, and after a series of disappointing records, his credibility took a bit of a knock. However, with the assistance of superstar producer Rick Rubin, Neil Diamond made a spectacular comeback with 12 Songs. Released in 2005, this record stripped away much of the middle of the road pomp that had become attached to Diamond over the years, revealing the great songwriter underneath. His next album with Rubin, Home Before Dark, landed right at the top of the Billboard chart. Diamond was back and better than ever.

Now he's hitting the road performing songs from throughout his illustrious career. Catch him at in , , .

Neil diamond in Toronto

Neil gave everything he had to a crowd of app 18 thousand. Their were moments the love shared between performer and patron were almost spiritual. Average age was above 50 but those under 50 were were singing along l and dancing to the music as though living when Neil made his music turn to gold. Highly recommend if you can attend the 50th show before it ends. ... Read more

Neal Diamond Phoenix Concert

Last night, Neil Diamond lit up the stage at Talking Stick Resort Arena, in Phoenix, Arizona. Neil still has a crystal clear voice, and a great catalog of songs. Neil started his Phoenix show with a funny anecdote, about how Phoenix always welcomes him with signs all over town that say:"Diamonds Back!" Neil proceeded to entertain 18,000 baby boomers and their kids, to all his classic hits. He finished the AZ show with "America," an emotional anthem, that contained slight political overtones. The then giddy AZ crowd, poured onto to the downtown Phoenix streets, where they enjoyed a rare cool desert breeze. Talking Stick Resort Arena is an immaculate facility, with excellent acoustics, adequate parking ($20), and plenty of Phoenix Finest, policing the area. The Stadium District also provides plenty of fun bars and restaurants to enjoy before or after a show. I'm giving Neil Diamond & Downtown Phoenix, AZ Five Stars! ... Read more
