The Lorax

The Lorax at Royal Alexandra Theatre

Why see The Lorax?

Celebrate The Holidays With The Beloved Dr. Seuss Tale

Dr. Seuss' beloved children's story The Lorax is set to delight children, and parents, of all ages, at Toronto's Royal Alexandra Hall this Holiday season. Just like the book, this musical spectacular is a verbally witty and socially conscious fable about ecological awareness and the enduring power of hope.

At the center of this tale lies the bright orange Lorax, a beaver-like creature who speaks for the trees of his homeland, as they don't have tongues. When the despicable Once-ler starts to chop down these trees to make a profit, he starts a factory that pollutes the once fertile land. Ahead of its time when it was first printed, The Lorax is an often poignant warning of the danger that corporate greed poses to nature.
