Phantom of the Opera in Toronto

I went to see Phantom of the Opera in Toronto recently and I must say it’s one of the best Phantom productions I have ever seen. The set, the cast, the whole production exceeded my expectations. When I saw it in a London it was amazing but this time round, it was truly magical. The Phantom’s voice was mesmerizing and he was so powerful. Thank you for bringing such a good performance to Toronto. Definitely would recommend it especially with this beautiful cast. I would give it more stars if I could.

I have seen Phantom 8 times now and I have to say between the new sets, the pyro, the emotion evicted by the characters it is a very sad tell of love and acceptance. Derrick is hands down the best Phantom yet. He actually made me cry he was so powerful. Emma was great as Christine. The other supporting characters were excellent and the show flowed with perfection. A must see as you will not regret this!! 5 BIG BIG STARS!!

Saw the show last night and enjoyed it totally. The singing was awesome. The stage and production compared favorably to the first time I saw it in Toronto. Thank you for an amazing experience.

The Best Show I've Ever Seen

I loved this production, and the day i went it was the understudy that played the phantom and I cannot imagine anyone doing a better job. I've never seen sets so grand or large or plentiful. The costumes were magnificent and the songs of course were incredible. As expensive as the tickets were, if this returns to Toronto in a few years, i will absolutely go back. I saw it over a month ago and still think of it and how moving and incredible a production it was. I cannot recommend it enough. I only ever go to the theater alone, so it's usually easy to get one good single seat, was very lucky to get the seat I had in the center of the fourth row, you cannot really get better than that. When that chandelier "broke" and the shards of flexible plastic "glass" was shot out, some landed on my sleeve and I jumped, it was just incredible from start to finish.

Spectacular

This was my first time seeing Phantom of the Opera. It is a spectacular production. The beautifully stark revolving set reflects the alienated isolation of the phantom whose love of the sparkling opera contrasts so powerfully with his dark inner pain. The set decorating is exquisite, the music is thundering and delicate, and the singing sparkles as it resonates with heartfelt depths of emotion,The cast engrosses us in a world whose impact on us doesn't stop when the curtain goes down. Not to be missed as part of a night out you won't soon forget. Thanks to everyone involved in this grand and touching theater experience.

I have seen this musical several times, and each time I enjoy it more. I live in Toronto, and had the great fortune to see John Cudia star in the role of the Phantom in the touring production. He takes your breath away with his depth to the character. It was thrilling to see that he was performing the role, again, when I had the chance to see it in New York on Broadway. If you want to see any theatre production in New York and you're not so sure about theatre, make SURE you see Phantom! You will NOT regret it!
