AMAZING!! IT LEFT US LAUGHING AND CRYING
We attended last night and had wonderful seats. From the time the actors came on stage to the last minutes of the show, we were left with so many different emotions! My husband and I loved it and it touched our hearts and memory of that terrible day...but the good of our people on the Rock showed us that even through tragedy, we can still find love and caring in all of us!!! I would see it again! And the Elgin is spectacular!!!!
Come From Away
This is, by far, one of my all time favourite shows! I've seen it twice and would see it a hundred times more! It's such a beautiful story ~ told with playful humour, memorable music and a palpable and uplifting energy. The cast is absolutely wonderful! Truly a "must-see" for any lover of musical theatre ~ especially if you're a Canadian!
Come from Away flies by !
Pure joy ! You have to go to New York to see it now, as Toronto all sold out and has been for weeks. Sold out for good reason.
Fantastic Show fo
This show is one of the best I have seen. It is filled with a great cast of characters that will leave you feeling that something good actually happened in the middle of all of the hatred of 911. The music, acting and simplicity of the set were perfectly matched to the show. There was not a dull moment, the show moved along seamlessly and the audience was carried along for the ride. Being from Gander, Newfoundland I had heard many stories through the years, and I personally know some of the characters depicted, they portrayed both beautifully. A great night out
Learn to be a Newfie
Come From Away is theatre at its best. From the self-deprecating quips, to the first wary sips of screech, to the daring kissing-of-the-cod, you, who "come-from-away," are invited to peek into the world of Gander, NL. Jayzus, Mary, and Joseph, isn't Canada proud of the people on the Rock? Humour (love the griddles' scene) is brilliantly laced with sympathy. You may not catch every word? That's okay, you catch enough of Newfinese to appreciate the grandness and grace in small-town simplicity: Once upon a time, Canadians responded to an American tragedy with action, generosity, and compassion. Wonderful score and performance.
Brilliant!
Riveting from beginning to end. The audience roared with a well-deserved standing ovation. This might be my favorite musical ever.
