Why See Women's Blues Revue?
The 31st annual revue show
Last year saw this eclectic celebration of Canada's finest female jazz artists turn 30 years old. Now in its 31st year, they are back, hosted by veteran jazz star Shakura S'Aida. Joining her for this special concert will be Dawn Tyler Watson, described as "Montreal's Queen of the Blues", with a huge career spanning over two decades, four continents and four albums. In addition, the lineup includes newcomer Jenie Thai, an Edmonton-based singer who has placed in various regional and countrywide blues competitions. These queens will be performing alongside the long-running Toronto Blues Society, which also celebrated its 30th anniversary in 2016.
Performance date: 18 November 2017
