Reimagining the little boy made of wood
A world premiere production, the National Ballet of Canada present a brand-new work that retells one of the most famous fables in children's literature. Having been adapted into plays, a Disney movie and even a Disney musical in London this Christmas, this haunting and sometimes dark interpretation explores themes of hope, mischief and the soul, employing sparkling choreography from the Royal Ballet's guest artist in residence Will Tuckett.

Following the story of a man who so wishes for a child of his own, that he creates one made of wood. Granted life by the blue fairy, the naive and mischievous marionette discovers what it means to be a boy, and managing to cause uproar in both his life, and that of his father-creator's!
