Aladdin

Aladdin at Ed Mirvish Theatre

Why see Aladdin?

In an exotic, faraway land, one young pauper's life is about to change with the luck of an ancient lamp - and you're invited to join this magic carpet ride! Based on the hit Disney classic movie Aladdin, this new fantastical musical features best-loved music by Academy and Tony Award-winning composer Alan Menken and lyricists Howard Ashman, Tim Rice and Chad Beguelin.

Aladdin will be directed and choreographed by Tony-winner Casey Nicholaw, best known for his work on The Book of Mormon.

An Amazing New World

People are giving this production half a star? You can't give half a star because you can't afford to see it. I brought my family of 4 to this amazing new production and I am bringing them back for Christmas, it was THAT good. I think whoever is monitoring this website should take down the reviewers who didn't actually see the show. ... Read more

BEYOND AMAZING!!!!!!

This show exceeded any and all expectations I had of the show!!! All cast members were SO in character!!! the Scenes and backdrops were AMAZING! We went Tuesday night and we were obsessed with the entire performance! The singing, the Genie, everyone was perfect!!! Can't say enough about this play. We were sitting 2nd row and saw the girl lose her wig in one of the performances, she went right off stage and came back out immediately and did not lose any part of her character. Hope that did not ruin her night because she was on point the entire time! 100% performance from everyone- we LOVED it!!!!! amazing job guys :) ... Read more

AMAZING! Adored it...and I normally hate musicals!

I normally hate musicals and got roped into going. Was I EVER glad I went! HOLY! Fantastic sets; big, exciting music with live orchestra; amazing costumes and costume changes - some of the characters would have 3 - 4 changes in one song! The acting and singing - number one ( and there wasn't a whole bunch of boring, slow songs). There was lots of humour. The dancing and choreography - wow (and I teach dance)! We scored wickedly awesome seats in the orchestra for under $50, but even at $150, it was well worth the price! And the magic carpet travelling under the stars -nearly everyone in the audience was "oohing" and "ahing" in amazement at how well it was done. Saw this at the Mirvish Theatre in Toronto. I highly recommend this show for everyone! ... Read more
